What are the advantages of lithium iron phosphate batteries compared to lead-acid batteries?

Lithium iron phosphate batteries and lead-acid batteries are widely used in the field of power energy. As new energy sources, Lithium iron phosphate battery has obvious advantages over lead-acid battery in terms of volume, energy density, service life and safety performance.

1. Light weight,high energy density

lithium iron phosphate batteries is 1/3 smaller in size and 2/3 lighter in weight than lead acid batteries under same energy conditions.


2. Long cycle life

lithium iron phosphate battery has more than 2000 cycle lifetimes, but lead acid normally has 300-500 times.


3. Safety and environmental friendly

lithium iron phosphate battery is free maintenance, lower consumptionit‘s more safe and environmental friendly than lead acid battery.


4. Wide operating temperature range

The lead-acid battery can be used in the temperature range of -20 °C to 50°C, and the self-discharge rate is low.  Lithium iron phosphate battery has a wide operating temperature range ( -20 ~+75°C), and can still emit 100% at high temperature ( 60°C ). 


5. No memory effect

There is a memory effect in lead-acid batteries. Rechargeable batteries are always operated under conditions of full discharge, and the capacity will quickly fall below the rated capacity. Lithium iron phosphate battery pack have no memory effect, no matter what state the battery is in, it can be used at any time, don't have to wait until the battery power runs out to charge it.
